In the Chinese culture, Chinese parents have high expectations of their children's abilities. For example, they will threat or punish their children if they do not get a high score at school or they do not play music well. They forbid their children to be social and to follow their own interests.
American parents do not give their children much pressure regarding to get high score and allow them to attend group activities to establish a good relationship between their friends.
No unique parenting style is suitable all countries and cultures. We must to find a proper parenting method that is the best way to help children to get success in the future. Deeply think and develop our own style of parenting and not just repeat the way our parents do or follow the traditional method in our country.I do not think Chinese parents just only follow the American way to raise their children. Chinese parenting style still has its advantage. We should begin from Chinese way and add the good methods of American parenting style.
